concept 01.04 - Long Distance

From 2015 to 2019 I was in a long-distance relationship with my now fiancée Ellie. This was a really hard time for a number of reasons, but most of all was just this feeling of being disconnected from the one you love the most in the world.

These photos were produced by converting images into audio spectrograms, playing them through the phone line, then converting them back to images. The resulting images lose almost all detail with just a whisper of the original image remaining.
